Kronos release
Kronos is the first release in the new six week release cycle. This new cycle replaces the previous cycle of one expansion every six months. CCP Seagull explains this new cycle its advantages for EVE Online and the community in her dev blog From 2 expansions to 10 releases - EVE Online's new release model explained.
Kronos itself brings several new ships and items, a huge amount of rebalanced ships and items, improved game mechanics, much better audio customization, new visuals and graphical effects, a fully reworked New Eden Store, “Little Things”, interesting additions to lowsec and more.Check out the Kronos feature page, the patch notes and the Kronos overview thread You can also list all Kronos related dev blogs . Also don’t miss the fantastic Kronos release theme on Soundcloud
Kronos was deployed on June 3, 2014. A feedback thread is available here
Alliance Tournament XII
Alliance Tournament XII was announced to be held from August 16 to September 7, 2014. The Alliance Tournament is the annual massive tournament for Alliances to fight for fame, glory and fantastic prizes.
CCP Gargant presented the format and rules for AT XII and announced that signups are open until June 8 – if your alliance isn’t signed up yet, poke your CEO to join this incredible experience! The Alliance Tournament will be fully broadcasted by EVE TV Next to CCP commentators, we have also four player commentators selected: Elise Randolph, SirSqueebles, Bacchanalian, and Apothne.
Coming after Kronos: Crius
With the new development cycle of one release approximately every six weeks, we are aiming straight for the next release already. After Kronos comes Crius on July 22nd! With Crius comes a massive rework of New Eden’s Industry. Industry is the beating heart of EVE Online and plays an integral, if not the most important part in EVE , we proceed with caution and will release only when everything is in perfect shape and not before the community gives green light via their feedback.
