EVE Online 11th Anniversary Special : Permaband's Killing is Just a Means

The CCP developer band „Permaband“ revealed at Fanfest 2014 their latest song and video „Killing is Just a Means“

We are proud to announce that this song is now available for the public right on time for EVE Online’s 11th anniversary!

Week 2 in EVE Online

So you started playing EVE Online, you have a grasp on the concept of the game, you've created a skill training plan in EVEMon, and you are playing around all the different options of the game. Unfortunately, you probably haven't checked the forums that much aside from the New Player Forum, and you probably think the entire game revolves around everything that is actually "in the game". This is why I'm going to introduce you to everything "Outside of EVE Online", which is a good percentage of what really happens with EVE Online.

[CSM8] - Our Future

I wanted to give this quick shout out to all the EVE players that haven't taken an interest in voting for CSM8 candidates. In no way will I give a biased opinion about the candidates, and will show you why it matters that we vote. First off it needs to be understood that the Council of Stellar Management is the liaison between CCP and the player base. What we want to be fixed we relay to CSM, and they tell CCP what the players want. Of course this doesn't mean every issue gets pushed to CCP as some members feel that other issues take priority.

New Eden Radio

I wanted to write this short article to point out yet another EVE community site that is one that every EVE Online player should visit at least once. That site is New Eden Radio. All of the Disc Jockeys at New Eden Radio are EVE players, providing a small taste of the genre they listen to. You can listen to music ranging from alternative to dubstep, and everything in between. During the open time slots when DJ's are not playing players can request songs on the jukebox from the site.

New Eden Radio also hosts lots of events including the Alliance Tournament spread pool. At one time there use to be a Weekend Drinking Party where you could chat with DJs in the New Eden Radio chat channel in game, as you and many other players played a 2 to 5 hour drinking game while having ship lotteries hosted by DJ Tranze. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like she hosts that anymore, but hopefully that will change sometime soon.

So if you're tired of the in-game music or want to hear something different or want to socialize with some really great people check out the New Eden Radio site, and join their in-game channel "New Eden Radio". To see when DJ's are playing, and what types of music you can check their time slot schedule. If this sounds like something you would like to do yourself they are always looking for more DJ's, and the NER community is always ready to hear a new one.

SOMER Blink

It never seizes to amaze me how many different EVE metagaming sites there are. One more of these sites is SOMER Blink, an EVE lottery site. With many other sites offering the same thing this one isn't dodgy, and well known for it's service. While it is considered typical gambling there are a few ways to make money indefinitely, aside from pure luck.

EVE Online Hold'Em

One thing that I just absolutely love about EVE more than anything is the meta-gaming that goes on outside of the game. Out of all the online games I've played over the past fifteen years, EVE is the only one I've ever had an interest in what was going on outside of the game as well. It was very long after I started playing that I learned about EOH, also known as EVE Online Hold'Em. At their site, you setup an account, send ISK to their corp in-game, and start playing Texas Hold'Em with other EVE players.
