[CSM8] - Our Future

I wanted to give this quick shout out to all the EVE players that haven't taken an interest in voting for CSM8 candidates. In no way will I give a biased opinion about the candidates, and will show you why it matters that we vote. First off it needs to be understood that the Council of Stellar Management is the liaison between CCP and the player base. What we want to be fixed we relay to CSM, and they tell CCP what the players want. Of course this doesn't mean every issue gets pushed to CCP as some members feel that other issues take priority.

So who are you voting for? As you can see on the CSM8 page, you can find a list of small campaign agendas for each and every candidate you can choose. Keep in mind you're voting for someone that will push issues in the area you feel needs the most attention.

Over the past year we've seen a lot of good changes, but rarely any pushing towards New Player Experience/High Sec, allowing new players to enjoy themselves until they become the multi-million SP character dreamed about. The reason I mention this is that we have a great game, but our player base isn't growing like it should due to the NPE, but I digress.

There are other ideas that are being mentioned as well like the whole Null Sec sovereignty idea for making it an active mechanic, wormhole space getting buffed, more solo PvP ideas, etc. Needless to say there are lots of great ideas coming from multiple candidates this year!

Before I ramble on anymore, I just wanted to point these things out to anyone that has not even followed the CSM. Its ideas like these the CSM help make realities. For a long time we have had a static CSM layout with many members being focused around null-sec, and game mechanics. In CSM8 there are tons of candidates to help make the CSM much more diverse allowing more voices to be heard. Vote today, and we will see a new era of CSM, and EVE Online.
