EVE Online Acronyms, Phrases, & Lingo

This is a list of the various Acronyms and phrases used in EVE. This list contains everything from the short names for various modules, to roles in a fleet, and then some. Some can be cross-referenced with other games, but there are a lot that are EVE specific.




Anchor - Ship to approach or orbit; the anchor
AF - Armor Fleet
AHAC - Armor HAC ships. Mainly used to refer to a fleet of high EHP, short ranged ships.
Arti (fit) - Referring to Artillery; long range damage ship
Awoxer - Pilot that will attack or scramble other corp/alliance members. Comes from character "awox".
Blue(s) - Refers to allied Pilots, Corporations, Alliances, or Coalitions; friendly pilots.
BPC - Blueprint Copy
BPO - Blueprint Original
Brick - Used to refer to an armor fitted ship with an extremely large amount of effective hit points
Bridge - Using a jump portal generator to offer a "bridge" to the fleet to jump through to a distant location
Bubble - Warp disruption
Bubbler - Reffering to an interdictor with Warp Disrupt Probes, or Warp Disrupt Field Generator
Camp - An act of staying in one spot; camping a gate for kills.
Cyno - Ship used in conjunction with a Cynosural Field Generator to give ships an endpoint to jump or bridge to
Disco (fit) - Referring to a heavely fitted laser ship
DPS - 1. Damage Per Second. 2. noun Referred to ships with a high damage output
Drag Bubble - Mobile Warp Disrupt Field Generator placed next to an entity to manipulate pilots landing by pulling pilots further away, or stopping them early.
EANM - Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
Gate Camp - A group of pilots sitting on a gate waiting for pilots to jump through to attack
Grid - The active area around a pilot or entity
Hotdrop - An act of pilots jumping through a jump portal bridge on top of a weaker group in order to overpower unsuspectingly.
HD (Fleet) - Home Defense (Fleet)
KoS - Kill on Sight
Logi - Logistics ship. Referring to a ship that can provide remote repair support.
LSE - Large Sheild Extender
NAP - Non-Aggression Pact
NBSI - Not Blue Shoot It
NRDS - Not Red Don't Shoot
Nutcupping - see NAP
Pipe Bomb - Referring to a heavily smartbomb fitted battleship used to take out smaller ships
Point - Warp disruptor, or Warp Scrambler
Red(s) - Referring to Pilots, Corporations, Alliances, and Coalitions that are enemies; unfriendly pilots.
Reps - Referring to remote armor or shield reps. Sometimes referred to local repair cycles.
Scram - Warp Scrambler
SEBO - SEnsor BOoster
SF - Shield Fleet
T3 - Reffering to T3 Battlecruisers
Tackle - referring to a fast ship with a high scan resolution, and a warp disruptor. Used to "tackle" opponents
Web - Stasis Webifier

I thought a disco fit was a ship with lasers. Pretty lights coming out of a mirror ball.

You are correct! Thank you for pointing out my error. I think I confused myself with RnK's Disco against RvB. Will fix this asap. o7
